Artist Bio
In December 2023, while moving through a profound transition in her life, Tulip discovered painting almost unexpectedly. At a time when words felt inadequate and familiar ideas of identity no longer seemed to hold meaning, painting became another language — a place where emotion could become colour, stillness could take form, and love could find its way onto a canvas.Each painting seemed to reveal something unexpected: a feeling, a memory, or an aspect of herself she had not consciously known was there. Fascinated by this process of discovery, she continued to paint, gradually creating collections of work. In August 2024, Tulip presented her first exhibition in Kitsilano, Vancouver. Today, she continues to paint intuitively, creating new collections and commissioned works, allowing each canvas to emerge as its own exploration rather than from a predetermined outcome.
